Automation of heat exchanger elements welding
The project used a KUKA robot-manipulator, a single-axis positioner, an OTC Daihen M400L robotic welding source with low spattering, a fence and auxiliary metal structures made by our company specifically for this project.
As well as the following auxiliary equipment was used in the center:
· torch cleaning station
· shock sensor
· seam touch sensor
Prior to welding, a location of future seams is identified. The robot determines the location of one seam and then, based on the data obtained, assesses the location of the remaining seams (in this case, 52 pcs) and welds them without additional identification. The center provides welding of products of five standard sizes with a different number of seams.
