Robotics laboratory
Our company equipped one of the major Russian universities with a large robotics laboratory for developing a wide range of skills and technologies.
Five different cells were installed:
· Milling technology development cell (KR 120 2700 extra HA KUKA robot, KP1-MD500 KUKA positioner, Siegmund octagonal adapter plate unit, SIEGMUND tooling package, HSD spindle, safety system)
· Cell for development of robotic welding technology (KR 6-2 KUKA robot, welding equipment with Lorch S3 StandardPulse source, Siegmund assembly welding table, Siegmund general-purpose welding equipment, torch cleaning station, SWELDEX BASIC mobile exhaust device, security system)
· Cell for working with various grippers and technical vision (KR 6 R900 KUKA robot, DESTACO pneumatic two-jaw gripper, DESTACO vacuum gripper, DESTACO pneumatic angular gripper, KUKA vision)
· Cell for studying the palletizing technology using a conveyor line (KR 180 R3200 PA KUKA robot (KR QUANTEC), DESTACO vacuum gripper, conveyor line, security system)
· Cell for studying and programming of a collaborative robot (LBR IIWA 7 R800 KUKA robot, KUKA youBot mobile robotics - KUKA youBot offers a hardware base to researchers, trainees and students, as well as research and development departments of the industry for experimenting and applying knowledge to other use cases.

Therefore, using the KUKA youBot, on a small scale, research can be carried out on the major topics of the factory of the future on the way toward industrie 4.0. The cells were supplied with the KUKA Sim.Pro software for offline programming of KUKA industrial robots.
